My sister sent this lovely amaryllis in November for my birthday. Thank you, Rita. I was hoping it would bloom for Christmas but it decided to bloom for New Year's Eve. What a great way to start the new year.Happy New Year to all my blog buddies.

Hi Phyllis. Just popping in to wish you a wonderful New Year and lots of brilliant things to happen in 2009. Love the amaryllis. Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog. I will be back to blogging this weekend sometime...haven't drawn anything yet...lol.
Beautiful amaryllis. I wish they would survive in our house! We can keep orchids alive and reblooming like it's nothing, but amaryllises simply won't keep!
Hope your new year is wonderful!
Happy New Year!
