Spin - Tour de Fleece, Tour de France - Day 4,5, 6 and 7

I'm still adding to the drop spindle cop. I'll probably remove this yarn from the spindle and double ply soon. It's getting heavy. I have never spun 100% Merino on a spindle. One thing I have learned is that it's not as easy to spin on a spindle as other fibers. I have dropped this poor spindle countless times.

Most of my spinning for the Tour has been on the wheel . I'm heading back to Kentucky later this month so I'm saving my spindle spinning for the trip. Thought it would be easier to travel with a spindle than a wheel. lol
Did anyone watch yesterday's race? I was just amazed at their ability to climb those mountains. I am in awe of their strength and stamina. Definitely world class.

I finished spinning and plying on the BFL and Mohair blend from Picperfic.etsy I love the bright colors of this fiber. Very soft.

I also finished spinning on Wildcraft's BFL and Silk "Coast" . I have really been excited about spinning this fiber. Wildcraft has some of the nicest and easiest to spin hand dyed fiber available. Can't wait to ply this lovely fiber.

Good luck cyclists and happy spinning Tour de Fleecers.

That BFL and silk is really stunning Phyllis.
I think of those Tour de France guys when I am exercising on my recumbant cycle and getting tired. They wouldn't quit so neither will I!

Hi Phyllis, I saw you're comment on my blog today (so sorry!!!)and yes my shawl worked out quite well!

I love the colourfull yarn you made during the tour de fleece, gorgeous! I don't spin (yet) but I'm knitting during the tour. I watch it every day and Lance is my all time favourite!!!

I've never bought any of their fibers, I like the color combo. You will enjoy spindle spinning on your trip.
